In 2008, Erin graduated summa cum laude from Western Michigan University Law School.  She practiced law with one of Detroit’s largest law firms for almost nine years before leaving to start Canvas Legal, PLC, a Detroit-based firm that specializes in small businesses and non-profits. As a small business owner herself, Erin understands the challenges involved in starting and maintaining a business.   She works with her clients taking a comprehensive view of the business, its goals and its mission to ensure that best practices are in place to ensure success.  For Erin, there is nothing more fulfilling than helping someone turn his or her dream into a reality.  That is why Erin frequently partners with local organizations to provide free or low-cost legal seminars and is a facilitator with the Build Institute.
